Reproduction Pottery

All of the pottery shown to the left are reproductions of McCoy, Brush and Shawnee items.  These reproductions are being marked McCoy regardless of the original manufacturer. If purchased by a carton of 4, the black head vases sold for $55each.  Not shown in the photo, the reproduction Liberty Bell Umbrella stand sold for $300 if bought as a single - $200 in multiples.

What is a Look a Like?

McCoy Whaler Lamp	Whaler Lamp - The photo to the left shows the McCoy Whaler Lamp, standing 161/8" tall and weighing 7 1/4#.  Below, on the left is the base of a non-McCoy Whaler, with two separate holes for wiring.  The photo to the right is the base of a true McCoy Whaler - measuring 7 3/4 by 6 3/4inches. Neither piece is marked. This item is listed in Look a Likes because it is believed the non-McCoy versions are greenware items available at hobbyist and ceramist establishments, and while it imitates the original, its differences indicate it was not designed with the intention to deceive, nor does it carry a stolen McCoy mark.
